Is it the end of the world? Some have predicted that October 21st marks the end of the world. The co-hosts ponder on what their last meals would be. 

First Dish Feature
Michael's Beet & Goat Cheese Ravioli
Michael shares a dish taken from Mark Vetri, the Executive Chef at Vetri's in Philly.
(Ingredients: Red Beet, Goat Cheese, Egg, Parmesan Cheese, Salt, Pepper, Wonton Wraps, Butter.)
Michael's Beet/Goat Cheese Ravioli
(Quick Recipe: Slice & roast beets until tender at 325 degrees for 45 mins. Add goat cheese, grated Parmesan and an egg. Add all to food processor. Puree until smooth, place mixture into a piping bag. Spray water on wonton, pipe mixture into wonton wraps. Fold wonton over to seal. Drop ravioli in a bit of butter and sear on both sides. Add tarragon leaves and Parmesan to skillet.)

Clinton shared that he experienced what he thought might have been his last meal. After the terrorist attacks in 2001, he officially was no longer a vegetarian. He determined that if the world was ending he needed to have a cheeseburger in his mouth.Today also marks LGBT day. That is Lesbian, Bi, Gay, and Transgender day. Clinton encourages the audience not to bully. 

New York Eats
Guests from the streets of New York comment on what they're last meals would be. Answers range from cheeseburgers, to tacos, to surf & turf and meringue pie.

Carla's Cheeseburger/Onion Rings
Second Meal Feature
Carla's Last Meal
Carla's The Perfect Cheeseburger, Onion Rings & Ginger Lemonade.
(Ingredients: Flour & Cornstarch, Instant Potato Flakes/Mashed Potatoes, Cayenne Pepper & Thyme, Club Soda, Japanese Breadcrumbs/Planko, Onions, Salt.)
(Quick Recipe: For Onion Rings- Add potato flakes, flour, cornstarch, and seasonings, add one cup of club soda, combine. Add onion rings to flour and then into mixture. Fry rings. For Cheeseburgers- Grill burgers, add cheddar while grilling. Toast buns. Add condiments, lettuce, tomato, mayo and onion. For Ginger Lemonade- see The Chew's website.)

Carla shared her best cheeseburger memory, her grandfather had a "Five and Dime" store, he cooked cheeseburgers in the front of the store and “ran numbers” in the back. That would be “the lottery for poor people.”

Clinton Lobster Thermidor

Clinton's Last Meal 
Clinton's Lobster Thermidor.
(Ingredients: Lobster Tails, Butter, Mushrooms & Onions, White Wine, Heavy Cream, Paprika, Thyme, Salt & Pepper, Butter Crackers.)
(Quick Recipe: In a tablespoon of butter saute onions and mushrooms. Add lobster, the paprika and thyme. For sauce, reduce white wine, let it simmer until it reduce to about ¾ of the of it's original, it should be very concentrated. Add butter. Place lobster combination into ramekins, pour sauce over. Add crumbled Ritz or other butter racers to the top of each dish. Broil ramekins for 3 minutes.)

Clinton shares the first time he had this dish. He was 13 years old and had gone to the Clam Box in Carmel California with his grandparents Cona and Wild Bill. It has been his favorite every since.

Omelet w/ Black Truffle & Robiola

Mario's Omelet with Black Truffle and Robiola
(Ingredients: Egg, Salt, Pepper, Cream, Robiola, Fresh shaved Black Truffles, Butter, Chives.)
(Quick Recipe: Mix egg, add cream. Pour egg into skillet, move sides around. Add cheese, chives and truffles. Pour onto plate and add Riobiola and truffles over the top.)

This omelet is pricey but Mario shared it's his last meal so he's going all out. This fabulous omelet is given to author and chef Melanie Dunea. Author of The Next Course and the Last Supper. Her cookbooks were given away to the entire audience.

Daphne's Chickpea Dumplings

Daphne's Last Meal
Daphne's Chickpea Dumplings
(Ingredients: Flour, Yellow Cornmeal, Baking Powder, Kosher Salt, Half-and-Half, Chives, Onions, Celery, Carrots, Butter.)
(Quick Recipe: Add flour, cornmeal, salt and baking powder, mix. Add Half-and-Half and whisk. Add chives. Saute onions, celery, carrots in butter and olive oil, add vegetable broth and chickpeas. Add spoonfuls of the dumpling batter and cook until they float to top.)

Mario shares how much he enjoys the Ritz Crackers on Clinton's Lobster Thermidor. “It's like french chef went cracker!” The co-host share what would be playing during their last meal. Mario waned REM, U2 and Jimmy Hendrix. Micheal's choices would be Led Zepplin, Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan. Micheal brings out a huge bowl of banana pudding to be added to Daphne's last meal. It's then shared with the entire audience.
